This proposal was presented at the National Competition for the Cabral Campus for UFPR – Federal Univ ersity of Par ana, which promoted it in 2012. An innovative language was adopted for the first phase foreseen by the competition, with the adoption of a bio-climatic architecture, which inspires itself in the section of an araurcaria pine-tree, typical in the region and present on the site. The treatment of the external surfaces of the building, which adopts the dynamic geometry of the complexity/sustainability design paradigm, aims to maximize the use of solar energy, the natural environmental control of interior spaces and the creation of a qualified atmosphere, both creative and inspirational, for the academic activities focusing design and music. The proposal was part of the first selection by the jury, limited to thirty-six finalists.
